Jane Mena is a prominent Nigerian dancer, socialite, entrepreneur, and Instagram model. Her Instagram account, @janemena, is well-known for containing videos of her dancing.
Jane Mena is the CEO of Jane Mena Glitz, an online and physical store that sells clothing and other beauty products. She is also the face of the high-end hair salon “Lishas Hair” and the cryptocurrency and gift card-selling online store “Patricia.”
Childhood and Education
On April 3, 1993, Usiwo Orezinena Jane, also known as Janemena, was born. She is 29 years old now. She was born in the state of Delta, but she and her siblings were raised in the state of Lagos. We do not yet know their names.
Also little is known about Janemena’s childhood, but it is said that she attended high school in her home state and then earned a degree in Mass Communication from Delta State University.
Career
Janemena has always enjoyed dancing, but she had no idea that it would bring her the wealth and recognition she desired. Participating in an Instagram twerking competition garnered her a great deal of attention in 2017. Kaycee, a well-known Five Star Music artist, hosted the contest to promote his song “Dance,” which featured Phyno.
She was awarded 2 million naira for the dance she performed. This not only helped her financially but also greatly influenced her path in the Nigerian entertainment industry. After a few months, she began uploading twerking videos to Instagram. She currently has more than four million followers, making her one of the most famous dancers in the nation. She has recently been compared to Faith Nketsi of South Africa.
Janemena decided to launch a YouTube channel in which she teaches individuals how to twerk. This is because her twerking skills have made her famous. At the time this article was written, more than one hundred thousand individuals had viewed and liked Jane’s YouTube videos.
As Jane became more involved in the Nigerian entertainment industry, she attempted to make a few films in Nollywood. Her acting career was short-lived, however, because she admitted she was incapable of handling the challenges and pressure.
Janemena desired to generate additional income, so she went into business and launched her own clothing line, “Jamenegliz.” There, she sells women’s clothing and accessories. Janemena also earns money through brand endorsement deals with companies that manufacture beauty and skin care products. In addition, she is the face of the online store Patricia and the hairline Lishashair.
Relationship & Marriage
Janemena is currently married to Mr. Andre Plies, who was her boyfriend for nine years. A few months after Plies proposed to her during their 2019 vacation in the Maldives, they began dating. Jane and her husband may or may not have had a church wedding, but according to the dancer’s home state of Delta, they had a traditional wedding.
Mr. Plies is less well-known than his wife, and he appears to use social media less frequently than she does. Because of this, little is known about his occupation or his personal life. No one knows how they met either, but since their marriage, Mr. Plies has been supportive of his wife’s dancing career, despite the negative feedback she has received.
Husband
In Nigeria, Andre Plies, who is married to Jane Mena, operates a business. Unlike his wife, he avoids the public eye, so little is known about him. He does, however, occasionally appear in his wife’s Instagram videos.
Children
Some months ago, news broke out that she’s reportedly expecting her first child.
Awards and Nominations
NANS presented her with an Award of Excellence in 2019 for all her accomplishments, recognizing her as an Icon of Hope and Inspiration for Nigerian Students.
