Ned Nwoko was born into a royal family at the Idumuje-Ungboko Royal Palace Delta state, in 1960.
As a royalty, Ned had access to many opportunities while growing up. He obtained a degree in Law at the University of Keele, Staffordshire, In the United Kingdom. From there, he proceeded to King’s College London for his Master’s in Law.
Ned Nwoko was awarded an honorary doctorate in Belize by Commonwealth University College. In April 2019, he was awarded a second honorary doctorate by the Delta State University of Petroleum Resources Effurun.
He once served as a member of parliament for Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency from 1999-2003
Aside from Politics, Ned Nwoko is also a practising lawyer. He is a founding member and a consultant at the Ned Nwoko Solicitors, a law firm that is based in London. The law firm specializes in the corroboration and management of the debts developing countries have accrued as an aftermath of borrowing from developed countries.
Ned Nwoko had 5 wives before marrying Regina Daniels. He married her as the 6th wife which was another reason that sparked controversies around their marriage. Fans and the general public were left wondering why a young girl of Regina’s age would agree to be a 6th wife.
In an interview, Ned once mentioned that Regina wasn’t coerced into marrying him, according to him, they met and fell in love at first sight and there was no force attached to their union. Regina also confirmed his words by saying that she was a stubborn and high-headed young girl and marrying a younger man would have been a disaster for her, but with Ned’s age, submission and respect comes easily to her.
The couple has been enjoying a blissful union since marriage. They welcomed their first Son Munir in 2020, and in June 2022, two years later Regina welcomed her second son with Ned.
