Uche Ogbodo is a popular and award-winning Nollywood actress and movie producer. She has acted in several hit movies and has also produced quite a number of movies.
In 2015, She became liked by many for her role in the movie ‘Mummy Why’ which made her very famous and also won her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the City People Entertainment Awards.
Aside from that, She also won the Most Promising Actress in Nigeria at the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards.
Biography
Uche Ogbodo was born on the 17th of May, 1986. She turned 36 years old in May. 2022. Uche hails from Enugu State, in the South-Eastern part of Nigeria. The actress reportedly grew up in Enugu State.
She is the second child of her parents out of five children. Being born and brought up in Enugu, She attended her primary and secondary school education there.
Not much information is available regarding her educational background but it is said that She never had the opportunity to have a university education like other fortunate people.
Career
Uche began her acting career in 2006 with her debut movie ‘Another Bondage’. Ever since her first television appearance, She has appeared in so many movies.
The actress revealed that in 2005, her father made her register at the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, after which she began going for movie auditions.
After many auditions, it did not take too long for Uche Ogbodo to land a movie role due to her nice speech ability and physical endowments.
Uche has featured in over a hundred movies and She is not stopping anytime soon. The movies She has acted in include: Royal Palace, Stolen Vow, Mummy Why, Girl Child, Four Sisters, Your Holiness, Your Last Action, Honor My Will, The Laptop, and so many others.
Also in the business of producing movies, She has produced quite a number of good movies such as: Living with a Ghost, Stolen Vow, Twelve, Sisters Act, and The In-laws.
Marriage and Husband
Uche Ogbodo has claimed She has never been married although there were rumors of the award-winning actress getting married to one Apo Arthur in 2013. She came out to debunk the rumors during an interview with City People Magazine. The actress was only engaged to Apo Arthur and their union was dissolved some months later due to reasons not known to the public.
After dissolving her union with her fiance, Uche discovered She was pregnant but Apo Arthur came out to deny the pregnancy is his. She was then put to bed in 2014.
According to Uche, She has never been married in the past but made it known that She is in a relationship with Bobby Maris although they have no intentions of getting married to each other anytime soon or in the future.
Children
Uche Ogbodo has only two children for now. Her first child, Mildred, was given birth in 2014. In 2021, Uche put to bed her second child. Her boyfriend and baby daddy, Bobby Maris stood by her side when she was in labor.
