Timini Egbuson, also known as Timini, is a multi-award-winning Nollywood actor and producer. He is also a model and a social media celebrity. People recognize Timini for his role in “Elevator Baby” alongside Toyin Abraham.

Both Dakore Egbuson Akande and her brother Timini Egbuson have left an indelible mark on the Nollywood industry. Currently, Timini is 34 years old.

Childhood and Education

Timini was born on June 10, 1987, in Bayelsa State. He attended Greenspring Montessori, The Afro School, and St. Catherine for primary and middle school. He also attended the Adebayo Mokuolu College in Lagos, Nigeria. In 2011, he graduated from Lagos State University with a degree in Psychology.

Career

Timini’s ideal occupation was a professional psychologist. However, destiny has a way of placing you where it desires. While attending college, Timini worked as his sister Dakore’s assistant.

After obtaining his BSc, he obtained a marketing executive position at an e-commerce company. Therefore, he worked a 9-to-5 job for two and a half years before transitioning to Nollywood. Timini was unhappy with his 9-to-5 job, so he sought happiness in Nollywood.

Timini began his career as an actor in 2012 with the M-net soap opera Tinsel. Even though more than 4,000 people attended the audition, he was one of only a handful chosen by the decision-maker. Due to his success in Tinsel, the director cast him in the MTV series Shuga Naija. After Shuga, Timini hosted The Spot, an EbonyLife television program.

Timini’s favorite aspect of being an actor is that he can portray anyone he desires. This is because he plays so many roles. Timini has gradually become a fan favorite in Nollywood, and he has been able to establish his brand.

Relationship

He is currently single but has been in relationships with underage girls in the past which has led to controversies.

Controversies

All of this began when Timini ended his two-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend Lydia Balogun. Lydia is notoriously controversial, and she engaged in a Twitter dispute with a woman named Toju, accusing her of having an affair with her boyfriend in 2020. Toju stated that she had slept with Timini and had no intention of stopping. The dispute continued between the women until 2020 when Lydia met Timini.

Lydia’s boyfriend is 14 years older than her, so when he decided to end their relationship, she brandished her sword at him. She claimed he sexually abused young, naive adolescents. She referred to him as a predator, a cradle thief, a pervert, and an awful individual in general.

Timini responded that all the women he has dated are older than the legal age limit. He stated that both he and Lydia were responsible for the end of their relationship.

People claimed that he was dating teenagers, which infuriated him. Timini claims he has never done such a thing, and he is fully aware of how terrible it is. He stated that his family and Lydia’s family were aware of their relationship and approved of it, but that he now wishes to forget about it and move on with his life.
