Rita Dominic Nkem Uchenna Nwaturuocha, popularly known as Rita Dominic, is a prolific Nigerian filmmaker, actress, fashion model, and influencer. She has made a name in the Nigerian movie industry and was given an ambassadorial for telecommunication giant Glo. The Nigerian also doubles as the director of Rita Dominic productions.
Biography
Rita Dominic came to be on 12 July 1975 as the last child of her family. She originates from the Aboh Mbaise town government, Imo state South-south Nigeria. Furthermore, She has three other siblings and is Ibo by the tribe.
For her education, Rita Dominic did her primary education at the prestigious Federal Government College in Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Then she proceeded to the University of Port Harcourt in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, for her tertiary education, graduating with a BSc in Theatre Art.
Career
Rita Dominic started acting when she was only a child, appearing in school plays and children’s television shows in her hometown, in Imo State. However, she got her breakthrough in 1998, in her debut movie titled A Time to Kill.
Since then, Rita has never looked back and has appeared in many movies. She’s produced several Nollywood movies over the years, as well. Her works have not gone unnoticed, as she has many awards and honors to show for them.
Rita Dominic was named the best actress after starring in a movie titled” The meeting” between 2013 and 2017. In addition, she clinched the best actress in the Tv series. The Nigerian star also won the Most Outstanding Actress at the City People Awards in 2004. As of today, Rita has appeared in well over 100 Nollywood movies.
Husband & Marriage
Rita Dominic is a married woman. On 5 April 2022, the Nollywood sensational actress announced her engagement to Fidelis Anosike, the Daily Times publisher. And between April 18 and 19, she had her traditional and white wedding ceremony which was attended by many dignitaries, including co-stars Mercy Aigbe, Emeka Ike, Patience Ozokwor, and Stephanie Okereke, amongst others.
A few days after the wedding, there were rumors of an allegation that Rita’s husband, Fidelis Anosike was caught cheating on her with a couple of her friends. However, Rita did not respond to the allegations but posted loved-up photos of her and her husband.
