Rebecca Hampson, Popularly known as ‘Nengi’, was born on 1st January 1998, in Bayelsa, a south-south state of Nigeria, where she grew up together with her older sister.
The reality Tv Star is a graduate of Linguistic and Communication from the Prestigious University of Port Harcourt ( UNIPORT)
Nengi is 24 years of age (As of 2022).
Career
Nengi, a popular model, reality Tv Star, Entrepreneur, and Social Media Influencer was among the last Top 5 Contestants of The Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGB) contest in 2017. She came into Limelight, after featuring in one of Africa’s biggest TV Shows,’Big brother Naija’ season 5, titled ‘Lockdown’. She competed for the grand prize of 90 million, in the reality TV show, which aired from 19th July 2020. However, she finished third, behind the Winner, Laycon, and Runner off, Dorathy Bachor.

The model is also an entrepreneur, who owns a shoe line called ‘Shoes by Flora’ , named after her late mom.

The reality TV star’s love life is of special interest to many of her fans, especially after she was interlinked with a fellow BBN housemate, Ozoemena (Popularly known as Ozo). During the course of the show, Nengi confessed to being in a relationship outside the big brother house, but it is highly unlikely that the said relationship still exists.

Age Controversy.
The ex-big brother Naija housemate, has been embroiled in controversies surrounding her alleged age. The beauty queen, who claimed to be 22 years old in 2020, was termed a serial liar, by Netizens who dug up an old post of her celebrating her 23rd birthday in 2017. By their calculations, Nengi should be clocking her 30s soon. But the reality TV star countered those claims with a proof of her British Passport, which clearly displayed that she was born in January, 1998.
Dual Citizenship
Nengi has Nigerian and British descent. Her dad, Mr Hampson is an English man from the United Kingdom, while her mom, Flora hails from Nembe/brass Local government area of Bayelsa State. She however, has little or no memory of her dad, because he died when she was barely two years old.
