Biography
Known by full name Augustine Miles Kelechi and Tekno by stage name, was born into the family of Mr. Kelechi, in Bauchi state on December 17th, 1992. Mr. Kelechi, an army officer, was constantly posted to different locations on official duty and as such, Tekno was raised in different states of the federation such as Bauchi, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Abuja, and more, although they originally hail from Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. Tekno has 5 siblings – 4 boys and one girl. Tekno is an elder brother to another Nigerian musical act known as Spotless.
Education
Tekno may not have had the opportunity to attend tertiary education and that does not make him unhappy in any way. In a true sense, he boldly tells people that he didn’t attend any tertiary institution. However, Tekno was enrolled in a music school at the young age of 8 where he learned the rudiments of music making. He later attended Heritage High School for his secondary education.
Musical career
One of the advantages Tekno had in his music ambition is his father who always shows his love for music. The military man despite his busy schedule always devotes time to listen to music and play some musical instruments like guitar, piano, and drums. That brought closeness between him and Tekno, allowing Tekno to learn a lot from him before and after he was enrolled in music school.
Although Alhaji Tekno as fondly called was into music from his tender age, he never released a track until 2012 when he was signed into K-Money Entertainment and had his first song “Holiday” released. The track received a wide audience and acceptance from music lovers.
Also, when he performed another track titled “Onye Ne Kwu” at an event in Abuja, he caught the attention of top celebrities that were in attendance and a number of them picked interest in him. He was later introduced to Made Men Music Group owned by Ubi Franklin and he got a recording contract with the company in 2013. By the time he released two more singles titled “Dance” and “Anything” under Made Men Music Group which turned out to hit as well, Tekno was nominated for an award under the Best New Act Of The Year category in 2014 by Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
By the time he releases another single titled “Duro” which also was a hit and hard large airplay including radio and TV stations across board, Tekno was well grounded in the music business, topping charts in ranking and winning nominations. Duro remains one song that really set the pace for Tekno’s music journey. The track was well received by a large audience in Nigeria, Africa, and across America. He had to do a remix of the song together with Flavour N’abania and Phyno.
With his constant release of hits, Tekno has enjoyed a smooth sail in the music industry and is considered a role model to many. Some of the artists he has featured include Davido, Phyno, Patoranking, Flavour, Lynxx, Bracket, Kiss Daniel, and many others.

Relationship
Not much is known about Tekno’s past relationship but the one with Lola Rae is known to the public. Though they are not married even after they have dated for years, they have a child together out of wedlock whom Tekno named Amaka Kelechi. Whether they will marry or not, only time shall tell.
