Maria was born in 1992 to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Agueze. She is from Imo state, which is located in the southeastern portion of Nigeria. Her ethnicity is Igbo. As of 2022, she’s 30 years of age. She rose to fame after partaking in the BBNaija 2020 edition.
Education
Maria was born in the United Kingdom, but her family relocated to Nigeria, where she attended secondary school.
Nobody knows anything about Maria’s early schooling. She attended the Federal Government Girl’s College in Owerri, Imo state, before enrolling at a British university. Maria attended the University of Salford and graduated with a second-class upper division.
Family
Mr. Benjamin Agueze was Maria’s father. He died in 2013. Maria’s mother is still alive and resides in the United Kingdom, but she refuses to reveal her identity.
Maria stated that her mother is White and British while discussing herself on the reality show. She is biracial, but she identified as a black woman.
In addition, the former flight attendant disclosed that she has a sister, but refused to elaborate.
Career
While residing in the United Kingdom, Maria held a variety of jobs. From January 2006 to February 2009, she worked at Grosvenor Casinos as a “front-of-house representative.”
Then, between May 2011 and May 2012, she worked as an office assistant at Goodenough College. Then, between May 2012 and January 2013, she worked as an assistant in human resources for KBC Financial Products.
From January 2013 to August 2014, Maria served as the CEO of Deloitte’s personal assistant. In October 2014, she relocated to Dubai and began working as a flight attendant for Emirates Airlines.
Maria had to quit her job as an air hostess in Dubai in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and become a real estate agent instead. Prior to being chosen as a housemate on Season 6 of BBNaija, she was a real estate agent in Dubai.
Personal Life
Since joining the reality show BBNaija, Maria has been renowned for keeping her personal life away from the general public.
In contrast, the reality star stated that she has a boyfriend in Dubai, but that their relationship is complicated. Maria hasn’t married yet. However, she is currently in a “situationship” with another housemate named Pere.
Boyfriend
Before becoming famous, Maria dated and lived in Dubai for three years with her boyfriend. A few months after Maria left the BBNaija house, Cubana Chief revealed her boyfriend Kelvin to the world.
According to media rumors, Maria’s boyfriend Kelvin is married and has two children (a boy and a girl). It was also reported that Kelvin, who is dating Maria Chike, has been divorced for a considerable amount of time.
Cubana Chiefpriest claimed in a controversial post that Kelvin’s Nigeria-based wife was in danger because of Maria.

The Big Brother Naija contestant Maria Chike recently announced on her social media page that she will turn 30 this year. This generated considerable buzz on the internet.
A week before her 30th birthday on May 3, Maria shared photographs from her birthday photo shoot on April 30.
