Mide Martins is a Yoruba movie actress with a difference. Many may not really know much about this talent but there are a lot of things to say about her. Let’s get into it.

Her mother, Funmi Martins was also a Yoruba movie star with great talent. She passed on after suffering from cardiac arrest at the age of 38 years in 2002. Mide Martins is her first daughter and because they really looked alike, she was brought in to complete acting roles her mum had started. That’s where her acting journey began.

Mide Martins is a Yoruba actress, movie producer and director, influencer, model, brand ambassador, and philanthropist.

Mide Martins was born on 12th April 1979 so she is 43 years old currently. She was born in Ibadan but was brought up in Lagos.  It is rumored that Shina Peters is her father but this has not been confirmed

She attended Community Grammar School in Ibadan and Province heights secondary school in Lagos respectively for her Secondary School education. She proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ogun State where she bagged a diploma in international relations.

Mide Martins started her acting career first in 2001 but went into it full time after her mum’s demise. She also went into movie production and she currently has lots of movies to her credit that she has produced. Some of the movies she produced include  Onitemi, Haunted Pleasures, Omo Oku Orun, Omoge Lekki, Arewa, Omo Odo, etc. Mide has acted alongside the best actors and actresses in the industry. Beyond, acting, and movie production, she is also into modeling and fashion. She is making her imprint there too.

Mide Martins has gotten several award nominations over the years. She won Best Actress of the Year in the Yoruba category in 2019 under City People Movie Award. She also won Best Supporting Actress of the Year in 2020 under City People Movie Award.

Mide Martins Husband & Children

Mide Martins got married to Afeez Abiodun who is also an actor and movie producer. He is fondly called Afeez owo. Afeez owo was the manager of her mother, Funmi Martins when she was alive. Their marriage has produced two wonderful kids namely Iyin and Anuoluwapo. There was a time it was rumored that they broke up but Mide debunked the rumor in an interview. It was also rumored that she had twins at a time but it was never true.
