How To Link & Check NIN Number On All Networks

The National Identification Number (NIN) contains a set of numbers designated to any person whose enrollment was successful. During this enrollment, the individual’s demographic data, fingerprints, photograph, and signature are all recorded.

The system’s database also confirms that the individual in question is performing the exercise for the first time. Once all these have been completed and established, that data is then saved with a distinct assigned NIN, and once this Identification Number is issued to a person, it can never be used again (meaning, an issued NIN cannot be re-issued to another person, even in a case of death).

NIN Guidelines

The National Identification Number (NIN) is made up of eleven indiscernible random digits, assigned to any individual who successfully completes the National Identity Database (NIDB) enrollment. It’s distinct quality is it’s inability to be reassigned to a second person.

In a situation, where the NIN recipient dies, his/her NIN dies as well, after the commission has received a death Certificate, establishing the demise of the person.

The NIN should be kept safely, and it’s contents, only disclosed to relevant authorities upon request.

Eligibility for NIN

Every legal citizen and resident of Nigeria is under the obligation of enrolling for the National Identification Number (NIN).

Citizens of ages below 16 are however excluded from this exercise.

Collection of the NIN

After the enrollment process is completed, the NIN applicant is issued two slips

(a) Transaction Slip

(b)NIN slip which indicates the enrolment completion.

Applicants are to collect their NINs at the centers they enrolled for them, in ideal situations. But in precise circumstances, an applicant may request that the NIN be transferred to a preferred location.

Conclusion

In a case where doing the above with your mobile phone proved abortive, walk up to the nearest office of your service provider (MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9mobile), lay your complaints, and it will be duly resolved. Make sure you go with your  NIN and Sim Pack.
